Great beer selection, great staff, full menu, and locally owned. Plenty of street parking and there is always a friendly crowd. Big enough for larger parties or events.

Great juicy, tasty burgers, fresh from a local butcher, & cooked to order! :) (Try 'The Burger,' topped with Very Flavorful Blue Cheese & a cooked-to-order-Egg, it's excellent!!). They also have sweet potato fries! :) In the drinks dept, they offer several brands of Hard Cider, Yea!!, as well as wines, beer, liquor, & mixed drinks :), & of course soda pop :)

Good food, lots of craft beers, and super-nice people! Very welcoming - I saw an obvious variety of folks there - office workers, fishermen, construction guys, and retired ladies. Awesome!

Usually; good food and standard table service would be enough to expect when dining out. Dave at Green Town Tavern in Waukegan really went the extra mile. He gave me 50 cents to feed the parking meter (I never have change), but he also provided a straw for my drink. Since I was an out-of-towner, he didn't want to shock me with their recent no straw policy. Folks in this area are incredibly friendly and helpful! The sirloin burger with fried egg and Swiss was delicious and perfectly prepared.

Cool laid back spot good service. The owner is a Packer fan with a big flag in the bar. That dont roll good in Illinois lol. They could of got 5 stars!!

The staff is great. The food is amazing and the amount of different Brewery beers including beers on tap as well as in the bottle are very plentiful.

Green town tavern is the best Saturday morning breakfast in waukegan! Great staff great cook and large personalities. I recommend the corned beef hash platter .

First time visitor. Great food and staff! Everyone was helpful and friendly. They rushed our food order since we had a show to catch at the Genesee Theater. Shuttle offered in the summer. I'll definitely be back!

So I heard they have a burger here they put peanut butter on. Then it's on a pretzel bun. So, yeah, I came here and tried it. I will say, that it is different. Not sure if I liked it or not, will have to try a 2nd time before I render a judgment.

Bar is excellent. The environment is very welcoming. Bartenders are very attentive and will recommend drinks if you are unsure of what you’ll be having. The wings are good as well.

Once you get your food, the food is very good. Make sure you give yourself lots of time if you are going to the theater. The service is very slow.

Amazing food! I had the Italian Beef and my husband had a burger! Everything was SO good and not over done! Fresh meat from the butcher and locally sourced produce! Definitely need to stop in and check it out!! Bartender was waiter and we never felt forgotten!

Great staff. They have the most excellent teriyaki chicken wings and nachos. Portions are shareable and drinks well made. You feel at home here.

The Green Town Tavern was intimate. They still had their St. Patrick's Day decorations up. The bartender was friendly. The price for for the appetizer sampler was quite reasonable. The mozzarella sticks were thick. My wife got a glass of Guinness, said that it was poured properly, and that it was a fair price at $4.
